Play-doh
My twin boys love playing with action figures. Over the years, they have accumulated quite a few. They specifically love Transformers, Iron Man, Spiderman, and the Avengers. Caleb specifically loves Bumblebee. Just recently, when Teacher asked him what his name was, he answered "Bumblebee Caleb." Calix, on the other hand, loves Iron Man. He never sleeps without his Iron Man action figure.
Just recently, they discovered play-doh! I bought them their first play-doh's a year ago. Play-doh's which they did not of course play with. The package says for 2+, however, kids do not develop in the same pace. They were probably not ready by then. They played with it a bit, and then forgot about it. So for almost a year, their play-doh's were just placed inside their toy box, waiting to be played.
Just recently though, we reintroduced the play-doh. I wondered how they would react to it. Would they play with it already or would they not notice it? And just like that, they loved it. Look at the boys playing. They are having fun! Calix is making his siomai while Caleb is making ice creams. An aunt gifted them with this play-doh packs for Christmas (Thanks Ate Joy!).
I love the fact that play-doh's allows kids to be imaginative. The kids can make tons of things- spaghetti, snakes, cakes, to name a few. They love making ice creams! Hearing them say, "Mama, look, ice cream!" brings me so much joy and pride. (I hope they And the thing that I love best about play-doh's is it helps develop their motor skills. My mom-friends tell me that this is important when they reach school age so I'm trying to help my kids develop their fine motor skills.
This is definitely one mommy-approved product!
