A 1st!

Image
Last Sunday was a day of firsts for the twins.  It was their first time to be bearers in a wedding.  A close friend of mine got married at the garden of the Waterfront Insular Davao. Looking at them wearing those formal suits made me want to cry (drama noh?!).  It struck me that my babies are indeed all grown up.  Take a look: This was before the ceremony.  Taken at the reception area. They were happy at first. When they were both dressed up.  They were actually starting to get cranky because of the heat and because they were starting to get bored.  That's why the eldest is holding on to a phone. At the garden now, waiting for the ceremony to begin. Look at how bored they were.  Both kids playing with phones. Thank you to  Apple! Well, even if he's all grown up, he's still drinking milk from a bottle. And this is US, chaperoning our kids. Lol!

Let them be little..

I am getting mushy lately.  Must be the twins' upcoming birthday.  Hahaha. (They're really indeed growing up!).  I get teary eyed when I listen to stories of children growing up and whenever I am able to listen to songs with the same theme.   Just this morning, a good friend of mine shared this song to me.  It's entitled " Let them be Little. "  The song perfectly captures my style of parenting.  Let them be little.  Don't rush them to grow up.  Let them enjoy their childhood.  I hope you will like it as much as I love it. Here's the lyrics: I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand. You felt so good in it; no bigger than a minute. How it amazes me you're changin' with every blink. Faster than a flower blooms, they grow up all too soon. So let them be little, 'Cause they're only that way for a while. Give 'em hope, give them praise, Give them love every day. Let 'em cry, let ...

Jollibee vs McDonalds

Since we're on a party mode right now, I'd like to share with you a sample computation on how much you would spend if you will hold your children's birthday parties there. Jollibee Php 128 per head (children's food) x 30 pax= Php3780.00 Php80 per head (adult food) x 30 pax          =       2400.00 (estimate) Party Favors                                                =      1250.00 Php60 (loot bag) x 30 pax                            =      1800.00 Php 7 (party amenities) x 30 pax                  =          210.00 Total                                     ...

We're Almost 4!

Wow! I can't believe I last wrote on my blog on January 14.  It's been like more than 15 days since I last wrote.  So much for a blog a day, right? But I have been too busy lately with work (sigh) and this makes me terribly guilty of sometimes neglecting the twins. The twins' birthday are coming up.  We decided last year that we would just have a mini-party at home, a quiet family affair.  However, at the early part of this year, I had a change of heart.  Kids only celebrate their parties while they're young right? So this year, we're planning a  mini-party either at McDonalds ( At another branch, not the one at Abreeza.  If you've been following me, you'll know why .) or Jollibee with their friends and playmates.  Less adults, more kids.  That's what we're planning to do this year, invite kids (and of course, the adults that will accompany the kids.) Time indeed really flew so fast.  I can't even believe that they're both soon turni...
