The Making of the Palitaw

It's Labor Day! No work and plenty of time to bond with the kids. So today, we decided to make a Filipino speciality- palitaw.

All you need are:
1. Glutinous rice (2 cups);
2. Water (1 cup);
3. Sesame seeds (1/2 cup);
4. Grated coconut (2 cups); and
5. Sugar (1 cup).

We had fun shaping the palitaw! Although not shaped perfectly, the palitaw's we made tasted alright. Caleb and Calix even tried it.

I wonder what we're going to make next.  Palitaw, anyone?

The Sesame Seeds
Grated coconuts, sesame seeds and sugar.
Glutinous rice.
