It's been a while since I last wrote.  My schedule and my plans have been quite hectic lately.  I opened my own office (yehey!) and I realized that opening one is not easy.  I'll write about it soon.

I vowed from the very beginning that I would always find time to be with the kids.  I also vowed to take them to places, not just malls, but places where they can learn and experience something new. 

So last Sunday, after watching Cloudy and the Meatballs II, we went up to the SM Discovery Learning Center.  I felt a bit excited since I remembered visiting the planetarium in Manila when I was younger.  The price is honestly not cheap, its Php250.00 for a day pass at the activity area with 1 planetarium show.  However, since the planetarium was still being repaired, the entrance was pegged at Php100.00.  I had to ask why the planetarium was not working since it just opened recently.  The lady at the counter said that the projector was being repaired as there was a time when the electricity was on and off on a certain day.  Hence, the projector was damaged. 

Here are some pictures which I took while the kids were exploring around.  I know they enjoyed playing (?) and learning at the same time.  I was looking for the circle thing where you put your hands and your hair stands up, but it was not yet available.  But nevertheless, the kids still enjoyed the experience.

This is where they teach you about the importance of the corals. There are 3 aquariums in this area.  The kids recognized Nemo! (who wouldn't?)

This is the area where they explain about how important each specie is in the environment.  Bugs galore!

This area talks about the power of walking. You step on a box, and it lights up.

Body parts!  They learned the lungs, the kidney, the heart, the bones, etc.

This is supposed to burp after pressing the lever for countless of times (for water to fill the stomach).  But since it was still lacking in parts, no burping.  But it was fun to see the kids using the lever. (parang nag-iigib ng tubig!)

      yes.. bitin.. hahaha.. but the kids will have their field trip there come december..

    250 is not bad pag fully functioning na :) Here in Manila ( Mind Museum ) is around 400 to 650 per person. :)

When I was younger, I vowed never to spank my kids nor to subject them to any physical punishment.  I just didn't think it would work.  I would see my friends being physically subjected to violence and I saw how they eventually rebelled against their parents. We're Almost 4!

Wow! I can't believe I last wrote on my blog on January 14.  It's been like more than 15 days since I last wrote.  So much for a blog a day, right? But I have been too busy lately with work (sigh) and this makes me terribly guilty of sometimes neglecting the twins. The twins' birthday are coming up.  We decided last year that we would just have a mini-party at home, a quiet family affair.  However, at the early part of this year, I had a change of heart.  Kids only celebrate their parties while they're young right? So this year, we're planning a  mini-party either at McDonalds ( At another branch, not the one at Abreeza.  If you've been following me, you'll know why .) or Jollibee with their friends and playmates.  Less adults, more kids.  That's what we're planning to do this year, invite kids (and of course, the adults that will accompany the kids.) Little Kitchen Helper

I would like my kids to love cooking in the same way that they love eating.  I guess I want to instill in them the value of appreciating food- from the preparation stage down to when the food is about to be eaten.  So from time to time, I allow my kids to help me out in the kitchen.  Sometimes they whisk the eggs when we make pancakes, other times they help me mix my cup cake mix (they like this because they love tasting the uncooked mixture!), sometimes they add the salt, just about anything that they can do at their age.
