Me time.

I always have this idea that mom's should have their own time. I call it "mama's time" since the kids call me Mama. It usually involves going to a local beauty shop to have my nails done and/or getting my hair treated. Sometimes, it involves shopping. Who doesn't love shopping anyway?

But sometimes (just sometimes of course!), I just like to indulge a little bit more. I guess today falls under "sometimes". Guess where I indulged today? At Nailholics!

I availed of their cloud-9 package which involves the basic mani-pedi. But it also includes foot scrub and foot wrap. And oh, it also includes a basic foot massage. All for 750. A bit expensive, right? But as I said, sometimes mom's need to indulge just a little bit.

Nailholics has a nice ambiance. Just look at the pics. The chairs look so comfortable, not the usual ones in the local beauty shop. They even have a canopy which can sit two people (imagine having your nails cleaned and your kids sleeping on your lap). The walls are painted in blue, just like when you're at the beach. There's even a relaxing music to help you relax.

So for mom's out there, try to schedule a visit. You'll love it! Nailholics is located at the 3rd floor of Abreeza.

    i passed by their branch at sm and it's full. plenty of mom's having "mama's time" today. ganda nga ng interiors. and the girls there look like they were really pampering their clients. +

    i didn't know they had a branch at SM.. hehehe.. excited for Posh Nails to open at Abreeza also.. I wonder what their "mama time" packages are..

When I was younger, I vowed never to spank my kids nor to subject them to any physical punishment.  I just didn't think it would work.  I would see my friends being physically subjected to violence and I saw how they eventually rebelled against their parents. We're Almost 4!

Wow! I can't believe I last wrote on my blog on January 14.  It's been like more than 15 days since I last wrote.  So much for a blog a day, right? But I have been too busy lately with work (sigh) and this makes me terribly guilty of sometimes neglecting the twins. The twins' birthday are coming up.  We decided last year that we would just have a mini-party at home, a quiet family affair.  However, at the early part of this year, I had a change of heart.  Kids only celebrate their parties while they're young right? So this year, we're planning a  mini-party either at McDonalds ( At another branch, not the one at Abreeza.  If you've been following me, you'll know why .) or Jollibee with their friends and playmates.  Less adults, more kids.  That's what we're planning to do this year, invite kids (and of course, the adults that will accompany the kids.) Little Kitchen Helper

I would like my kids to love cooking in the same way that they love eating.  I guess I want to instill in them the value of appreciating food- from the preparation stage down to when the food is about to be eaten.  So from time to time, I allow my kids to help me out in the kitchen.  Sometimes they whisk the eggs when we make pancakes, other times they help me mix my cup cake mix (they like this because they love tasting the uncooked mixture!), sometimes they add the salt, just about anything that they can do at their age.
