Dymo
I am an obsessive-compulsive person, so I generally like to label things. I love to label books, notebooks, pens, anything which I own. When I was younger, I'd write my name using pentel pens. And then I discovered those stickers which we order from somewhere- those gold and silver ones. Do you have those too? But when I reached college, I'd have those sticker labels printed on a computer shop with either flowers or Winnie the Pooh as the design. I guess I'd have to admit, I loved Winnie the Pooh a lot back then.
And then of course, I found no need to label things. I stopped going to school (hahaha!). I'd need occasional labeling, but I find that writing my name is easier. And then came the twins' venture into a real school. Guess what happened next- labeling galore!
I had their names printed on stickers from local computer shops. We've had designs from Transformers and Nemo. It's nice that you can play around with the designs and the fonts, and the font sizes. I'm really amazed at what technology does. It really makes our lives easier.
So one time I went to National Bookstore to buy some school supplies for the kids. But at the back of my mind, I was kinda hoping that I'd find Dymo (I read on Smart Parenting June edition that it's available at National Bookstore). I was hoping because I know it's available in Manila, but I was just not so sure if it's available locally. And when I found this, i turned giddy!
You see, I used to envy my classmates who had their names written in Dymo when I was in elementary and high school. I often wondered where they got it and why my parents never bought one for us. I guess back then it was a bit expensive. I'm not sure. But the one I bought (above), retails at Php495. And I had 3 extra tapes- black, blue and red. And of course, I started labeling. I don't think the kids understood what I was doing. But in all honesty, I was really happy having this Dymo.
What about you, how do you label?
